The three main ides for this weeks reading a presentations were: 1. Our shared-interest communities are crucial to understanding our identities. 2. By prioritizing our shared-interest communities we reflect upon what is most valuable to us. 3. An identity map depicts how we view ourselves as well as the different communities that we associate with. these communities can influence choices we will make in our classrooms as teachers. During the presentation I was asked to prioritize my values, this was somewhat hard in the amount of time we had( i know there was a time limit) but I would use more time in the classroom to allow kids to think more about it. I did like how we were asked to draw them in different sizes. This gave it more of a visual look and a visual understanding. It gets across the point of value as well as some art techniques better than just listing or writing what order our values go in. I think this presentation was overall very nice and helpful.
